Optometrist Shawn M. Koehler, O.D.

Optometrist Dr. Shawn Koehler was born in LaSalle, Illinois. He graduated from Illinois Valley Community College in Oglesby with an Associate of Science Degree. He went on to attend the University of Saint Francis (USF) in Joliet, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology in 1998. While at Saint Francis, he was an NAIA Academic All-American Student Athlete. Dr. Koehler then studied at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He was on the Dean's List and a member of Gold Key and Beta Sigma Kappa international honor societies. He received his Doctorate of Optometry in 2002.

In May 2003, Dr. Koehler joined the Gailey Eye Clinic to provide primary eye care including routine eye exams, contact lens service, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and post-operative eye care.

Dr. Koehler is an active member of the American Optometric Association, the AOA Political Action Committee, and the Illinois Optometric Association. He is also a member of the Lion's Club International, Knights of Columbus, and the Rotary International.

Dr. Koehler enjoys spending time with his new bride and being involved in his hometown community. He enjoys golf, fishing, and tennis.
