Ophthalmologist Dr. Robert Lee, M.D. was born and raised in Galesburg, Illinois. He graduated with Honors from the University of Notre Dame in 1986 earning a Bachelor of Science Degree.
He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine, in 1990 while also being elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society for outstanding medical students.
After a one year internship at Columbus Hospital in Chicago, Dr. Lee then received his specialty training in surgery and diseases of the eye at the University of Minnesota.
Dr. Robert Lee, M.D. has a special interest in the latest techniques of cataract surgery with intraocular lens implantation, including no stitch and no patch technique. He also has great interest in corneal transplantation and is one of the most experienced practitioners in Central Illinois. He is experienced in the treatment of all types of glaucoma and related glaucoma surgical procedures. Dr. Lee routinely performs YAG and Argon laser surgeries. In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Lee provides non surgical medical eye care for all eye diseases as well as family eye services for glasses and contact lenses.
Dr. Robert Lee, M.D. is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology, McLean County Medical Society and Illinois State Medical Society.
Dr. Lee is married and has six children. They enjoy family activities and sports, especially baseball and basketball.
